Incident
An incident is an unexpected event that disrupts the normal functioning of a system, service, or process. This could be a failure, technical error, human error, security issue, or other situation that requires a quick response. Reporting an incident allows for faster corrective action and minimizes the impact on users or the organization. Using the form available on this page, you should immediately report:
- theft of data in any form,
- loss of a data carrier or paper documentation,
- unauthorized copying or removal of data,
- unauthorized modification of data in any form,
- making data available to an unauthorized person,
- failure to comply with the provisions of the Information Security Policy at the University of Silesia in Katowice,
- noticing traces of attempted or actual breaking into rooms or locked document cabinets,
- breach of confidentiality of access data to the IT system (the system does not respond to the password),
- partial or complete lack of data or access to data in a scope wider than that resulting from the granted authorizations,
- lack of access to the appropriate application or change in the scope of designated access to server resources,
- suspicion of the presence of a computer virus,
- noticing traces of attempted breaking into the IT system,
- significant slowdown in the operation of the IT system,
- anomalies in the functioning of the computer network,
- theft or suspicion of theft of equipment computer or documents containing data,
- unexpected change in the location of computer equipment.
